West Village

This one bedroom loft began as a typical bachelor pad, in need of some warmth and character to fit the personality of its newlywed occupants. The aesthetic, eclectic with a dash of old world glamour, brings coziness to this West Village rental. In small spaces like this one, the charm is in the details. The couple’s love of travel, art and wine, are showcased throughout the apartment — in the accessories, the paintings and the wine wall. Taking advantage of the fourteen foot ceilings, we created an art gallery above the sofa, incorporating pieces purchased on their travels through Provence, Montana, Napa Valley and Vietnam, as well as pieces painted by the bride’s mother. The bits of Parisian flair scattered around the apartment pays tribute to the city where the couple got engaged. Keeping in mind that this was a rental apartment, we chose pieces the couple really loved and could take with them, and focused on maximizing the space by giving it a personality distinctly their own.
